OPI- You’re Such a Budapest

Hello there! Today I share with you a new favorite. This is OPI’s You’re Such A Budapest. Isn’t this color beautiful!? My eyes were immediately drawn to this polish as soon as I saw it. It’s a gorgeous light lilac with blue undertones. Even though it is a light color, it stands out; which is why my eyeballs were drawn to it it in the first place. 😉

The application was a bit of a struggle. It took three coats of polish to become fully opaque and even then, some of my nails still had some “bald” spots. Drying time is quick and the polish alone is shiny without the use of a topcoat and lasted an entire week without any visible chipping.

Besides the polish being a bit streaky and needing 3+ coats, I like it. This is one of those colors in my collection that I make the extra steps to apply.

Let me know what you think! Till next post!

XOXO

Ruffian Mani

Hello there! Long time no see. I hope you’ve been well. I do believe a “Happy New Year!” is in order. 🙂

Today I share with you a simple Ruffian mani. I didn’t know what to paint on my nails and decided to go with this simple and easy mani. As a base color, I used Essie Licorice and decided to top it off with this gorgeous teal green polish from Sally Hansen. Unfortunately, I don’t know the name of the polish because I lost the bottle. 😦 I know. It hurts my heart to know that I lost such a pretty color.

I hope you like this mani as much as I do. Till next post!

Kiss New York Gel Strong Nail Polish

Today I share one of my favorite manis from this summer. I don’t know what it is about an all white mani that screams “summer” to me. I sported and all white mani for a good portion of the summer and every time I had to remove it, it made me feel a little bit sad.

The nail polish I wore the most was by a brand that although not new to me, was new in the sense of having a new addition to it’s brand. I came across the Kiss New York Gel Strong Nail Polish collection at my no-so-local Kmart. You’ve probably seen the press on nails, the eyelashes, eyelash adhesive, and some nail polish trios. This was the first time I had seen the Kiss brand with any gel polish line. I immediately fell in love with the colors and decided to give the polishes a try. Each polish was around $4 so I bought a deep blue (KNP19 Envy Me) polish and, of course, a crisp white polish (KNP30 Smoothie). I also purchased the top coat to give the whole gel process a try.

I hope you’ve had a wonderful summer and have been able to enjoy it to the fullest. I haven’t been able to post anything for quite a few months and for that I apologize deeply. Life happens and the world spins and then all of a sudden there’s too much to do. I hope you understand.

I just wanted to write a little something to get me started again. I’ve been having this post pending for more than a month and I have just gotten the courage to write it up and post it. I don’t think that I will start to post as frequently as I used to. I would like to keep it at one or two posts per week until I get back on my feet and ready to have all of my content ready for sharing. As always, I will be posting on my Instagram, so if you haven’t already, go on over and check it out. I leave you a link here.

Thank you for taking a quick minute to read this! I will see you in my next post!

XOXO

Glittered, Pink, and Foiled

Hello there!

It’s Wednesday and I’d thought I’d share with you a bright pink mani! 😉 I wanted something bright and shiny and pretty. I used two of my favorite polishes to give my nails the perfect pink pop that I wanted. I was in the mood for a bright “Summer here I come” mani, and I think I achieved just that, what do you think? 😀

I also used nail foils for the first time. I like the idea of the nail foils but I’m not quite excited about the end result. I found that, while it was easy to apply, once I applied a top coat, the foil wrinkled and lost most of the color, turning silver. Has this happened to any of you? I used my Seche Vite top coat for all of my nails, could it be that a nail foil needs a regular  top coat? I tried wearing the foil by itself, with no top coat but it scratched easily. I don’t know. Any tips you can give me?

The pink colors I used were e.l.f nail polish in Bubblegum Pink and Wet N Wild glitter nail polish in Sparked. The nail foil came in a packet of 9 different printed fools.

Let me know what you think and please share your tips on how I can improve my nail foil application.

Happy Friday!! 😀

I’m so excited for the weekend. Not because I get to party or go anywhere exciting or out of the ordinary. I’m just excited that I get to sleep in, catch up on my Netflix list (Unbrekable Kimmy Schmidt, Walking Dead-Season 4, and American Horror Story-Season 1), and get my eyebrows done ;). Yes, I’m that girl that looks forward to getting my eyebrows done. I look at it like a mini trip to the spa. 😉

This mani was from back in January when it was cold! I found it while I was deleting old photos on my phone. It made me miss my long nails!

As a base, I used JulieG’s nail polish in Butterflies & Rosebuds and on my pinky and middle finger, I added OPI’s Muir Muir on the Wall. Goodness, I love that polish. It’s so multidimensional! The hue changes depending on the base color.

Let me know what you think and I will be seeing you tomorrow for Nail Art Feature Saturday #10!

Holographic Love

 Hello there!

I share with you today a new love. This here is Butter London’s Dodgy Barnett. It is absolutely beautiful. My camera had some trouble focusing but I ended up snapping a pretty good pic. This is also my first Butter London polish. I purchased it at Marshall’s for $3 or something crazy like that. I was pretty exciting to have snatched it.  😀

This is two coats of polish and one coat of top coat. I just love this polish. It’s like having a rainbow on your fingers.

Xoxo
